Downingtown Area School District is excited to announce openings for Technology Innovators.

Job Summary: 

The role of the DASD Technology Innovator is to support the integration of instructional technology, in keeping with Title II requirements: Carry out programs and activities that are designed to improve the quality of the teacher force, such as:

• Implementation of innovative professional development programs, including programs that train teachers and administrators to integrate technology to improve teaching, learning, curricula and technology pedagogy
• Integration of strategies that incorporate technology pedagogy with content pedagogy in a blended learning environment
• Length of position/contract: One year (1), as allowable by Title II funding

Qualifications: 

• Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university and hold a proper Pennsylvania certification for the position
• Demonstrates knowledge in the area of assignment
• Knowledge in academic use of technology
• Proficiency in use of technology for individual, small, and large group instruction
• Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside professional contracts
• Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements

• Develop and lead professional development focused on district-wide technology initiatives during designated times throughout the school year
• Support district-wide technology initiatives in the building
• Participate in no more than three (3) days of training / planning / preparation during the summer and/or after school during the school year (equivalent to 18 hours per Tech Innovator per school year)
