Accounting Internship

Our focus includes windows, doors, cabinets, siding, garage doors, hardware, security, access control, glazing, overhead doors and dock equipment.

The Accounting Intern will work 3 days/week in the summer and will have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience. The Accounting Intern will perform the same tasks as our entry-level accountants. Successful candidates for this position will need to be dependable, goal-oriented and intensely driven to learn. The Accounting Intern will work closely with the Controller and accounting team to complete various tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Be an ethical person to the company, your coworkers and to the customers.
• Utilize Microsoft Office products in daily work.
• Assist with accounts receivable process.
• Assist with digitizing records to move the department paperless.
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts.
• Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of customer and vendor information.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain thoroughness and accuracy in tasks assigned.
• Proficient data entry skills with details and numbers.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.
• Ability to be a proactive, energetic team player.
