Office Profile: The Division of University Advancement is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of external communications and all fundraising and friendraising activities, including alumni & family relations and church & community relations. University Advancement is an integral part of the university's ministry and outreach. Fundraising activities support academic programs, capital projects, athletics, endowments and student aid.
Role: The Assistant Director of External Relations and Events coordinates external & community relationships of the University, including but not limited to the City of Irvine, local Chambers of Commerce, business relationships, and local and Synodical church relationships. The Assistant Director is responsible for ensuring conference arrangements, participation and sponsorships are executed. The Assistant Director is part of the division's special events team and manages all event related communication plans. All activities of this position are to make a contribution to the fulfillment of the mission of the university.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and two to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in a university setting as a professional preferred. Familiarity with development functions, Concordia University Irvine and its mission are a plus.
Full Time Staff, Non-Exempt
$28 - 32/hr
