Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Assistant Intern to support our project management team in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience and insight into construction project management, working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.
85% - Administrative Assistant: Provide daily administrative duties for the Major Projects team. This position monitors records and filing, types up documentation, and schedules and coordinates meetings.
15% - Sales Support: Provides sales support to the Major Projects team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative Assistant:
  • Assist project managers in daily coordination of construction activities and project documentation
  • Monitor project progress and help prepare regular status reports.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and support communication between team members, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Help track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Organize and maintain project files, drawings, permits, and other documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to observe construction progress, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and
  • document field conditions.
  • Support procurement of materials and verify deliveries.
  • Assist in change order tracking, RFIs, and submittals.
Sales Support:
  • Interface with branch to ensure cohesion in projects.
  • Assist with marketing projects and to meet deadlines.
  • Prepares quotes, contracts and RFP/RFI responses for potential customers.
  • Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.
  • Maintains all sales demonstration tools and applications.
  • Maintains up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends and government regulations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, terminology, and project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work on-site and in an office setting.

Compensation:
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters, inc/Satellite Industries, Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
