ESY Teacher - Special Education DHS/WMS (Internal Only-District Wide)

This is a Special Education Extended School Year position at the Middle and High school level (6th-12th)

July 7th to August 7th

4 days per week, 4.5 hrs per day (7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.) 

DEFINITION OF DUTIES:

The ESY teacher will monitor and assess distance learning activities for eligible students in their building. Current SPED staff will design and plan lessons for the digital platform according to student needs. The ESY teacher will then implement the plan and monitor progress. This may include contacting students and problem solving access issues. There will most likely be at least one meeting to go over the plan with the SPED teacher in June. Hours are flexible, but the ESY teacher must be consistently available for students and families to contact with problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current Oregon Teaching License

Preferred:

Special Education license/endorsement
