Responsible for the setup, installation and maintenance of PC's according to the guidelines of the City's Information Systems Division.
Ability to sit and move about an office department or building. Ability to kneel, crawl, climb and twist to install and maintain equipment. Must be able to lift and move PC's and related equipment.
The intern must have awareness of PC hardware components, desktop OS software, and application software. Preference to students enrolled in higher education computer science courses including associate's degree courses.
He or she must show an awareness of current and emerging trends and have an interest in technology as a whole.
The internship is a 12 week summer program. The intern must be able to communicate effectively with users, internal staff and management. He or she must be able to work in dependently or as part of a team.
