    Minimum Requirements: 
    Successful completion of Video Coaching Partnership Fellows and Advanced Coaching Seminars Programs
    Certified and Tenured Teacher 
    Meeting or exceeding standards on annual evaluations
    Cognitive Coaching professional learning preferred/ willingness to complete Cognitive Coaching
    Proven ability in both deep and strategic listening
    Preference is given to those with experience at instructional levels or departments in need
    Demonstrates experience/skill in some or all of the following areas: differentiated instruction, lesson plan development and implementation of best practices 
    Background/ Knowledge of Social Emotional Learning and Culturally Responsive Education (CRE)/ Equity
    Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills with teachers, principals, students, and paraprofessionals
    Ability to work with and interpret student data
    Ability to work with diverse populations of adults / collaboration / coaching / relationships
    Demonstrated knowledge of the developmental needs of students
    Demonstrates an inquiry based stance towards their practice
    Ability to recognize the needs of a teacher and align appropriate support
    Willingness to work a flexible schedule and school day (if mentoring teachers at different levels)
    Ability to structure own time and manage multiple priorities
    Experience with planning and implementation of technology-integrated instruction
    Ability to help others make sense of and adjust to change
    Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth, reflection, knowledge of current educational research and issues                                                      

    Desired Qualifications: 
    Provide ongoing mentoring/coaching support to new teachers 
    Facilitate a minimum of one video coaching cycle with a new teacher
    Participate in assigned 2 full release days (October and February) of mentor professional learning to enhance instructional leadership and mentor ability.  
    Willingness to participate in CRE cohort professional learning
    Help develop and attend portfolio collegial circles with Director of Professional Learning
    Analyze data to plan for effective instruction
    Give guidance related to classroom organization, management, scheduling and planning 
    Share ideas and strategies for documenting all parental contacts and interacting positively with parents 
    Share information with the new teacher related to school and district procedures, guidelines, policies and expectations (to include articles, resources, observation tips, parent meeting information etc.)
    Familiarize the new teacher with the community and its resources
    Allow the new teacher to observe the mentor delivering best instructional practices and reflect together on the lesson afterward
    Assist new teachers in using video reflection to observe and improve their instruction
    Assist teachers in designing engaging lessons and units that integrate technology into academics
    Coach individuals to identify strengths areas of potential growth, and the steps to take in improving instructional practices
    Meet with up to two second year teachers (a minimum of 10 hours each) throughout the school year
    Assist new teacher to keep a log of meeting dates and topics in Frontline
    Facilitate opportunities for the new teacher to participate in shadow days with experienced colleagues
    Promote self-care with new teachers
    Model professionalism
    Maintain confidentiality 



    Position Summary/Responsibilities: 
    POSITIONS:        Stipend Positions (classroom teachers)

    WORK YEAR:    2025-2026 School Year

    Mentors (Classroom Teachers or TOSAs without mentoring in their job description):
    For each Year 2 teacher, the Mentor will earn a $525 stipend.
    This includes 10 hours of mentoring directly with the new teacher and 5 hours for preparation and research.
    A Mentor can mentor up to the equivalent of 2 first-year teachers.
