We’re an early-stage, self-funded startup in stealth mode—founded by two entrepreneurs with multiple successful exits. We’re building a SaaS platform to change how neighborhoods buy home services. It’s a giant, overlooked space, and we’re coming at it with creativity, tech, and a little attitude.
We’ve been quietly building for over a year. Now it’s time to start making noise—and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Social Media & Marketing Intern who wants to help shape the voice, vibe, and launch strategy of a brand from day one.
You’ll work directly with the founders on early messaging, content, and campaigns. No red tape. No branding committees. Just you, a blank canvas, and a chance to build something people actually care about.
Help craft and run our early social media presence (mostly IG, TikTok, LinkedIn—and maybe that weird neighborhood Facebook group).
Write, design, film, meme, or whatever it takes to tell our story in a way that doesn’t sound like every other startup.
Research our audience (homeowners + service pros) and figure out what makes them tick, click, or cringe.
Support early brand strategy, email marketing, and growth campaigns.
Help us test positioning, messaging, and early hooks—then double down on what works.
Bonus: If you’ve got a design eye, editing skills, or video chops, we’ll put them to use.
Real creative ownership from day one. No “make a Canva post and hope it gets approved” here.
Hands-on experience launching a brand from zero.
Mentorship from founders who’ve built and marketed companies before—and will teach you everything we know.
Access to the startup community at mHUB and Industrious Evanston, where we work and network IRL.
A highlight-reel project that future employers will ask you about.
What We’re Looking For
You love storytelling, branding, and marketing that doesn’t feel like… marketing.
You’ve probably made content before—whether for a brand, a club, or your own followers.
You’re obsessed with great copy, scroll-stopping visuals, or figuring out what makes people share stuff.
You’re organized, self-directed, and allergic to cringe.
Bonus points if you’ve played with tools like Canva, CapCut, Figma, Buffer, or email platforms.
Logistics
Location: In-person preferred (mHUB Chicago or Industrious Evanston), hybrid OK.
Compensation: Unpaid, but we’ll support school credit and build your portfolio.
Future Potential: Absolutely. We’ll need brand and growth muscle post-launch—this could evolve into a paid role or more.
