Job Title: Logistics Intern
Location: Pacific, Missouri
Pay: $18/hour
Reports To: Logistics Manager
Position Summary:
Walker Products is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Intern for Summer 2025. This hands-on internship offers valuable exposure to domestic and international logistics operations within the automotive aftermarket industry. The intern will play a key role in supporting day-to-day freight coordination and logistics reporting while gaining practical experience with transportation systems, freight auditing, and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and book daily domestic and international shipments via small package programs (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL) and CH Robinson's Transportation Management System (Navisphere 2.0).
Coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure timely and accurate shipment deliveries.
Receive freight quotes and assist in cost comparisons and vendor selections.
Audit freight and customs invoices for accuracy and compliance.
Generate ERP and Excel-based logistics reports and upload data to Power BI for visualization.
Support ongoing logistics operations, helping alleviate workload from senior team members.
Gain exposure to other areas of supply chain including inbound receiving, customs documentation, and shipment tracking.
Qualifications:
Enrolled as an incoming junior or senior in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Familiarity with or a willingness to quickly learn ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Interest in pursuing a career in logistics or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret freight and customs documentation.
