Job Title: Logistics Intern
Location: Pacific, Missouri
Pay: $18/hour
Reports To: Logistics Manager

Position Summary:
Walker Products is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Intern for Summer 2025. This hands-on internship offers valuable exposure to domestic and international logistics operations within the automotive aftermarket industry. The intern will play a key role in supporting day-to-day freight coordination and logistics reporting while gaining practical experience with transportation systems, freight auditing, and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and book daily domestic and international shipments via small package programs (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL) and CH Robinson's Transportation Management System (Navisphere 2.0).

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure timely and accurate shipment deliveries.

  • Receive freight quotes and assist in cost comparisons and vendor selections.

  • Audit freight and customs invoices for accuracy and compliance.

  • Generate ERP and Excel-based logistics reports and upload data to Power BI for visualization.

  • Support ongoing logistics operations, helping alleviate workload from senior team members.

  • Gain exposure to other areas of supply chain including inbound receiving, customs documentation, and shipment tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled as an incoming junior or senior in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with or a willingness to quickly learn ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

  • Interest in pursuing a career in logistics or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret freight and customs documentation.
