The Bird Dawgs baseball summer internship program is designed to give college students real-world experience. The goal for all our interns is that when the summer is over, you are ready to make a difference in the world of sports!
Our season begins on May 9, 2025 and ends August 30, 2025. We have a total of 48 home games, and most interns will see a mix of working both games and in the office. You must be able to commit to all 48 home games.
We have several openings for internships. When applying, we will ask you which ones you are most interested in. Here’s what’s available and a little more about each one:
Ticket Sales: Operations/Inside Sales/Group Sales – You will work with our Director of Ticket Operations & Sales. During games, you will help to manage the box office and assist with the fan experience. In the office, you’ll be learning about the inside sales operation, making outbound calls and managing the ticketing system.
Food & Beverage: You will be working alongside our Food & Beverage Manager and learning as much as you can about how food/beverage ties directly into the fan experience..
Clubhouse Manager: Have a knack for sports operations/equipment? Here you will be working directly with our coaching staff and upper management to give the players the best experience possible. You will be responsible for uniform maintenance, keeping the clubhouses clean and supporting the coaching staff and players where needed. You will also be coordinating post-game meals for teams and umpires.
Please note: All interns will be responsible for housing and transportation. College credit and a stipend are available for all internships.
The hiring manager will contact you via email if they believe you are a good fit for the position. If you do not hear from the hiring manager within two months of applying, please assume the position has been filled. Those applying for this role are strongly encouraged to include a cover letter with their application.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
