Summary:

The Digital Platform Developer Intern will collaborate with the Digital and Marketing department to assist the development team in meeting and exceeding the organization’s digital marketing goals. The primary responsibilities include writing code, creating engaging user experiences, and developing innovative components for our digital platforms.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the maintenance of all Bucks digital platforms, including various web-facing properties, applications, and mobile app.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Write and execute tests to ensure the quality and functionality of the code.
• Identify and fix bugs to improve platform stability and performance.
• Make updates and enhancements to existing features and components.
• Contribute to the design and user experience aspects of our digital products.
• Time commitment will range between 20-30 hours per week, and schedule will be mutually agreed upon intern and the Bucks staff.

Qualification Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree or education in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or similar discipline with a development and/or software engineering focus.
• Keen attention to detail and organization
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and programming languages.
• Ability to thrive and collaborate effectively in a team-based development environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate technical concepts and collaborate with team members.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS and modern JavaScript frameworks.

Where You’ll Gain Experience:

• Frontend development with Vue.js and Quasar
• Both implementing and ingesting APIs, as well as other forms of network data management
• Development practices in a team environment
• Version control systems such as Git/GitHub
