Please note definition differences between Intern and Co-op:

Intern:  Student works full-time during the summer

Co-op:  Student works part-time while school is in session. Student may work more hours during the summer if not enrolled in classes. Students may work for a minimum of one semester or longer.

Both positions are paid according to current academic standing and job classification.

What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for an Intern to join our SQD department. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

What you will be doing:

•    Support Key Process Indicator metrics
o    PPM (Parts Per Million defective)
o    CPMS (quality Concerns Per Million Shipped)
o    SCR (Supplier Change Request status)
o    NSF (New Supplier Form status)
o    Cost Recovery Status
•    Update written processes and procedures
•    Support Environmental Health Safety Supplier of the year Champion
o    Communicate with suppliers
o    Arrange awards ceremony
o    Coordinate supplier luncheon
•    Support NSF process
•    Support Supplier Manual content/updating
•    Support any assigned SCR process
•    Participate in Summer Intern projects

What you will bring to the table:

• Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution at the time of internship targeting 
• Pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in (Information Systems or equivalent) or related field
• Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
