Summary:   
The HR Intern will support a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, benefits, onboarding, employee relations, compliance and administrative tasks in a dynamic HR environment. 
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Support the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Help organize and coordinate onboarding for new hires.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices, labor laws, and industry trends.
  • Assist in updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Support performance management and employee review processes.
  • Assist HR team with annual open enrollment administration.
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed.
 
Education and Experience:
  • The candidate would be recently graduated or currently enrolled in school
  • Previous experience in an office environment
 
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with HR software or systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) – a plus
  • Basic understanding of HR principles (recruitment, onboarding, labor laws)
  • Data entry and record-keeping skills
  • Detail-oriented – able to maintain accuracy in paperwork and data
  • Strong written and verbal communication – for emails, reports, and interaction with staff
  • Organizational and time-management skills – juggling multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Discretion and confidentiality – handling sensitive employee information appropriately
  • Team player with a proactive attitude – willing to assist and take initiative
  • Professionalism – courteous and respectful in interactions
  • Empathy and active listening – important when engaging with employees
  • Adaptability – flexible and open to learning in a fast-paced environment

Position Type/Work Schedule:
Seasonal, 20 - 30 hours per week, for 26 weeks. Typical schedule will be Monday-Friday.

Working Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
 
Physical Demands
The employee is required to sit for long periods; use close/distant vision; hear using the telephone; bend at the waist and knee; communicate verbally and electronically with worldwide constituency; use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
