Job Description 

The International Sales Representative will be responsible for sales in railroad track materials internationally with primary focus in Mexico and Latin America. The position will be located in our International Sales office located in the Houston, TX area. 


Responsibilities

  • Manage new and existing customer accounts regarding material needs throughout Mexico and Latin American countries.
  • Respond to customer needs and prepare competitive quotations using sound market knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with regional customer base.
  • Manage and report sales results.
  • Monitor and communicate competitive information.
  • Work effectively with internal personnel.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in supply chain management, marketing, engineering, or commensurate experience.
  • Candidates must be fluent in Spanish. Proficiency in Portuguese is preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, operations, supply chain, or engineering.
  • Knowledge of ocean freight logistics, including both bulk and containerized cargo shipments.
  • Understanding of commercial invoices and bills of lading (BOLs) as they relate to customs clearance in Latin American countries.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and support cost estimates for shipping heavy railway materials worldwide, ensuring efficient and competitive delivery solutions for A&K customers.
  • Product and industry knowledge preferred.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills. 
  • Comfort working independently.
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 6-10 nights per month.
