The Nolan Ryan Foundation Internship has two major roles. The first is being involved in growing community initiatives and visibility to help connect Round Rock Express fans with the Nolan Ryan Foundation along with other surrounding nonprofit organizations. The second role is furthering the impact of the Nolan Ryan Foundation Dinner & Golf Tournament by assisting with the silent auction, managing event details and volunteering during both events. 
  
The position offers the following: 
  • Hourly salary of $15.00 per hour. 
  • Career related hands-on experience learning how to manage community marketing initiatives for the Round Rock Express as well as assisting with the Nolan Ryan Foundation's largest annual fundraiser, the Dinner & Golf Tournament. 
  • This is a fun, fast-paced internship that will add real work experience to your resume. 
  • We will assist with college credit if needed. 
  • Additionally, you’ll gain valuable experience in the baseball and event industry, with full training and the opportunity to work closely with all members of the Round Rock Express Marketing Department and the Nolan Ryan Foundation.  
  
Learning Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Learn how to serve as an ambassador for the Express at games and events in the community 
  • Learn the process of ensuring proper execution of Express events and community initiatives/programs (50/50 Raffle, Community Spotlight) 
  • Assist in planning community drives, awareness nights and special events 
  • Learn how to provide a high level of customer service to fans, donors, and sponsors  
  • Assist in filling donation requests 
  • Assist with planning/executing and volunteering of Covering Home initiatives and other non-profit initiatives 
  • Assist in coordinating the silent auction for the upcoming Nolan Ryan Foundation Dinner 
  • Help facilitate Nolan Ryan Foundation Dinner & Golf Tournament event details/logistics leading up to AND day of the event. 
  • Additional duties as assigned 
  
Experience Required: 
  • College Junior/Senior or a recent graduate (2024/2025) who has the ability to start as early as June and work through October 
  • Flexible schedule for nights, weekends and holidays 
  • This will mostly be an in-person position with occasional remote work opportunities 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and maintain organization 
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure 
  • Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing 
  • Will need to have reliable transportation
