Summer Internship Opportunity in Fort Wayne, IN.
Test Intern position requires both hands on and mechanical engineering activities, that supports laboratory equipment, maintenance, and operation. The Test Intern position will interface with internal and occasionally external customers, design test hardware, perform testing, interpret data, and report results. Understanding of hydraulic, electrical and data acquisition systems preferred.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and execution of test plans and test cases for new and existing products.
  • Conduct experiments and collect data to support R&D projects.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and quality assurance.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to product testing.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of test procedures and results.
  • Support the R&D team in various tasks as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of three semesters, MET, Mech Eng, Physics, or other relevant science/engineering disciplines
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Self-directed work attitude
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Familiarity with data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, R).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Knowledge and experience with MS office and other related Microsoft programs required
  • Knowledge of CAD design tools

  • Ability to Identify failure modes within sealing systems, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, climb stairs
