School Psychology Internship Opportunity
In the Cape Henlopen School District
The Cape Henlopen School District (CHSD) offers school psychology internships each academic school year. The District has a population of over 6000 students that come from the Rehoboth, Lewes and Milton areas. CHSD is located near the beaches of southern Delaware. In addition, the District houses the Sussex Consortium which is part of the Delaware Autism Program, and it services students from all of Sussex County, Delaware.
As part of the internship, a stipend of $22,000 will be provided, as well as a moving expense amount of $1000. Each intern will be provided their own workspace, laptop, and office phone. The intern will be expected to complete the entire school year with the District. CHSD employs eighteen full-time school psychologists and has a special education department located in each school.
The internship experience will include the opportunity for many diverse experiences, including but not limited to:- Conducting multi-disciplinary evaluations
- Attending at IEP meetings
- Participating in MTSS meetings
- Participating on the crisis response team
- Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments
- Completing observations and evaluations of early intervention students
- Conducting group or individual psychological services
- Exposure to students with low-incident disabilities
