The Hawthorne Public Schools Technology Department is currently seeking candidates for paid summer technology internships. (20 - 25 hours per week)
As a Technology Intern at Hawthorne Public Schools, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside our experienced technology professionals and gain practical, hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to various projects and initiatives, enabling you to develop your skills and deepen your understanding of the technology industry. This internship will provide you with a comprehensive learning experience, exposing you to different facets of technology.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Technology Department to support the development and implementation of technology solutions.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technology-related issues.
Participate in the testing and quality assurance processes for classroom and educational based technology.
Assist in the deployment, and implementation of new laptops, chromebooks, computers and other technology hardware.
Participate in preparation of all technology related hardware and systems for the upcoming school year.
Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of technical processes and procedures.
Provide support in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems.
Assist in creating reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with operating systems and computer networks.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and contribute to the technology industry.
