Summer Network Technician Interns

Salary: $16.35 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week

Job Description:

The Network Technician Intern position serves during the summer as a member of the East Hartford Public School Information Technology Team by assisting in completing summer projects to prepare for the upcoming school year. The Network Technician Intern position is under the supervision of the Supervisor of Information Technology.

Performance Responsibilities:  Primary responsibilities are working with Information Technology staff to complete summer projects which include but are not limited to the following:

1. Creating images and deploying images to desktop/laptop computers
2. Assisting in hardware repair/support
3. Assisting in software support
4. Assisting in network support
5. Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
6. Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
7. Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision
8. Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications
9. Adequate familiarity with equipment found in East Hartford Public Schools
10. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Information Technology

Terms of Employment: Seasonal; part-time as needed
