The Lake Erie Crushers are a professional baseball team that are a member of the Frontier League, a Major League Baseball Partner League. The Crushers established in 2009 are based in Avon, Ohio and their home stadium is Lake Erie Crushers Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000. Including 11 suites, four-person terrace tables, berm seating, picnic, and patio areas for group outings. The stadium has new artificial turf, concession stands, team shop, state of the art sound system and new video board. Avon is 18 miles west of Cleveland, Ohio, and part of the Cleveland metropolitan area.
Timeline: May-September (End of Season)
Responsibilities:
- Collect elements such as b-roll, highlights, batting practice clips, and bullpen clips.
- Capture and edit game highlights for use on social media.
- Conduct Player/Coach interviews.
- Conduct and produce promotional segments for social media
- Make sure all corporate and group needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Extremely out-going, charismatic and personable.
- Ability to perform well and maintain character while under stressors or other circumstances.
- Ability to think creatively and outside-the-box.
- Must be a team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Must be enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have a positive “can‐do” attitude.
- Ability to multi‐task and handle responsibility.
- Self‐ motivated and ability to take initiative.
Preferred:
- Has their own equipment to take high quality video.
- Working knowledge of the Adobe Suite including but not limited to Premier Pro and After Effects.
- Previous sports videography/action videography experience.
- Good understanding of the game of baseball.
This is an unpaid internship, and no housing is provided. College credit MUST be awarded for completion of this internship.
